ABOUT OUR PARISH

Parish Mission: We seek to find Jesus Christ as we strive to become the saints we are called to be.

St. Louis, King of France, Parish is located in the midst of a very active area of Northern Virginia, and continues to be among the larger parishes in the Diocese of Arlington, with over 7, 300 registered parishioners, and an elementary school that educates over 400 students.

St. Louis Parish is served by our pastor, Fr. Terry Staples, along with our Parochial Vicar, Fr. Mark Carrier, and Fr. Ben Opara (of Nigeria) and Fr. Idamor Mota (of Brazil), both in residence. These dedicated priests offer daily Masses and Confessions, and are spiritual leaders for our parish community.

Members of our Parish are diverse in age and cultural backgrounds, but are united by participation in the Sacraments and devotion to the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. To this end, we are privileged to take part in weekly Eucharistic Adoration in our beautiful Adoration Chapel, completed in 2008.

It is our prayer that the words of our Patron, King Saint Louis IX of France, may take root in each of us: “The first thing I advise is that you fix your whole heart upon God, and love Him with all your strength, for without this no one can be saved or be of any worth.”
