RCIC

RCIC classes are our sacramental preparation classes for older students who have not received Baptism, First Penance, First Holy Communion, or Confirmation.  Students who have never had catechetical instruction or have not received sacraments at the customary age should enroll in Wednesday “RCIC” classes with other students of similar ages.  Please choose “RCIC1” for  Students in Grades 3-5 or “RCIC2” for Students in Grades 7-12. 

Over the course of the program year, students in these classes prepare to receive the sacraments.  Those who need to receive First Penance do so at a service during Lent.  Those who need to receive other sacraments do so at a Mass in May.

Students preparing for Confirmation are required to complete a Saint Report, Sponsor Interview, Letter to the Pastor, and some other requirements during the program year.

We ask that a parent, guardian, or sponsor join every child enrolled in these classes nine times throughout the year - about once a month.  We will notify you in advance which days we will ask you to attend.
