Sacrament of the Eucharist

"Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood
remains in me and I in him." John 6:54-56

The Sacrament of the Eucharist is celebrated daily at 6:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., and at 7:00 at the Poor Clare Monastery. Sunday Masses include a Vigil Mass on Saturday evening at 5:30 p.m., and on Sunday at 7:30, 8:45, and 10:30 a.m., and 12:30 and 5:00 p.m. The 5pm Mass is celebrated in Spanish.

The Tridentine Mass is celebrated the first threeFridays of each month in the evening at 7:30pm in the main church.

Sacrament of Penance

"The beginning of good works is the confession of evil works. You do the truth and come to the light."
~ Saint Augustine

Confessions are heard several times daily. Click here for this week's schedule.

Sacrament of Baptism

"Baptism gives us the grace of new birth in God the Father, through his son, in the Holy Spirit. For those who bear God's Spirit are lead to the Word..." Saint Irenaeus

The Sacrament of Baptism is administered every Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Parental instruction is required in advance, and parents must be registered, practicing members of our parish for at least six months prior to the Baptism. To register and for more information, call the Rectory at 703-765-4421.

Sacrament of Matrimony

"Posting a letter and getting married are among the few things left that are entirely romantic;
for to be entirely romantic, a thing must be irrevocable." G. K. Chesterton

All couples wishing to be married at St. Louis Church must contact the Rectory at 703-765-4421 at least six months in advance of the wedding. The date and time for the wedding are not set until the second meeting with the priest and cleared through him. The Parish has a volunteer group of wedding coordinators who assist with church decor, rehearsal, and the wedding itself.

Sacrament of Confirmation

"Age of body does not determine age of soul. Even in childhood man can attain spiritual maturity."
~ Saint Thomas Aquinas

All students in the Parish school and CCD program receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the fall of their ninth grade year. See the Religious Education Page for more details. Classes for adults who wish to be confirmed begin after Easter. Please contact the Religious Education office for more details.

Eucharistic Adoration

"My answer is prayer. What we need is for every Parish to come before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in Holy Hours of prayer." Mother Teresa

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament begins every Monday at 7am and continues until 4pm on Saturday afternoon. Can you come and spend time with our Lord? To sign up for a weekly hour, please contact the Parish Office at saintlouis@saintlouisparish.org or Contact the Adoration Coordinator - see the "Eucharistic Adoration" page for more details.
